Ghostwriting

Ghostwriting is generally defined as writing material for someone else. I've ghostwritten everything from short stories to brochures to web pages to screenplays. (Screenplays are probably the most fun to write.) One thing that is crucial with ghostwriting is to find out exactly what the client wants as you go, so the project develops in the preferred direction. Ghostwriting is completely different from co-writing, where your name is included somewhere on the project. On a ghostwritten project, as soon as it is handed over to the client, it belongs to them and the ghostwriter's name is never mentioned. Until they call you back and ask you to write something else.
